How to Make Easy French Toast

French toast mixture and slices of bread

Here’s an easy breakfast recipe for anyone craving French toast. It’s so easy, even someone like me, with limited cooking skills, can be a breakfast hero.

It will take about 10 minutes to prepare from start to finish. Make sure you have the following ingredients on hand. The measurements listed here are for 8 servings, so adjust as needed.

Ingredients

2 eggs
2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
1/2 cup of milk
8 slices of bread

Cooking Instructions

1) Beat the eggs, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla together in a bowl.

2) Dip the bread in the mixture and make sure to evenly cover both sides. You can adjust how much you soak your slices in the mix. I know some people who love it saturated to the point the bread is soft and moist.

Just remember that the more you soak, the less mix you have for more slices. Believe it or not, I’ve been told by a couple people that they like their bread lightly coated. One person even mentioned that they like it almost dry. My response to that was, “what’s the point, then?”

But I digress…

3) Heat up a lightly greased pan on medium and cook each slice on both sides until nicely browned.

4) Serve with your favorite syrup and enjoy!

We were so hungry, we ate it all up before I could take a nice picture of the finished product. Sorry, no photo of a sexy stack of French toast today. But we did enjoy eating it, so mission accomplished!

Good luck with this recipe. Remember, if I can do this, anyone can. Let me know how yours turns out!
