This year marks the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II. The Legacy of Peace aerial parade heralds the main ceremony to take place on September 2nd, on board the USS Missouri at Pearl Harbor. The Japanese military surrendered the war on the deck of the USS Missouri, on September 2, 1945. Originally there were plans to commemorate the occasion with a film presentation, a three day aerial parade, and a bigger ceremony at Pearl Harbor. Whenever my son sees farm animals he always shouts out excitedly, “farm fair!” Such was the case last night when he saw cows and chicken on TV. On the first Saturday of every month, participating Home Depot locations host The Kids Workshop. Families with kids of all ages enjoy this event. Last month my wife and I took our son to the 2019 ESPN Honolulu Sports Festival. The event was held at the Neal Blaisdell Exhibition Hall. It was the ninth year for the festival and our first time attending this event. One of the booths that stood out the most for us was Spare for Change, a non-profit organization.
