This year marks the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II. The Legacy of Peace aerial parade heralds the main ceremony to take place on September 2nd, on board the USS Missouri at Pearl Harbor. The Japanese military surrendered the war on the deck of the USS Missouri, on September 2, 1945. Originally there were plans to commemorate the occasion with a film presentation, a three day aerial parade, and a bigger ceremony at Pearl Harbor. Whenever my son sees farm animals he always shouts out excitedly, “farm fair!” Such was the case last night when he saw cows and chicken on TV. His next question after that is usually, “Can we go to the farm fair?” He is already looking forward to the next farm fair in 2020. This year marked the 57th annual fair. It was held on July 13 and 14, once again at Kualoa Ranch on the Windward side of Oahu. They’ve had it at the ranch for the past several years and I can’t imagine it being anywhere else. Unplug at …

On the first Saturday of every month, participating Home Depot locations host The Kids Workshop. Families with kids of all ages enjoy this event.
